Trip to White Rock!!!

Ah - Paul having some fun with Danielle the dog-lover... here lassie!
We spotted a young seal in the harbour at Victoria... kinda cool for a visitor to the area.
A great looking couple... it was a pleasure to experience life with them in White Rock - whether we were lounging around, seeing the sights or going for dinner, the week was a blast.
The craziest one of all - a hyper moment for young Dan :)
Hey - Get me in the picture! Despite the awkward pose, she still probably enhances the photo...
Nothing strange here folks, just keep walking...

Some quality time with a quality person - it was so good to spend time together - can't wait to do it again. The bar for hosting has been set yet again!

So we dressed up and hit the Algonquin Club in Boston on Saturday night... a two-hundred year old club that is for gentlemen only and is a black-tie affair. Despite the fact that I was the youngest person by at least a decade, it was a blast. In fact, tony just couldn't stop talking about it:)

Moving on....

After an extremely intense job fair, and a few job offers to boot, I will be moving to a place where the beer flows like wine and the women flock like the salmon of Capastrano! The research has begun and the magnitude of the decision is sinking in - my anticipation builds. Naturally I am welcome to the idea of visitors, so please feel free to splurge on airfare and visit me at some point. I do have a guarantee for those who come - your own personal tour guide.

Oh, the place you might ask?

Cute kids or what - way to go Kubla Khan...
It has become a sweet tradition - Thursdays out for dinner. Johnny was lucky to make one...
Playing some shinny with the students - let's just say it was Canadian domination.

good new year's boys - great to see you all - can't wait to catch up again sometime. All the best in 2007!

Such a good family - between skating at Toronto's beautiful Nathan Philips Square, cooking the olibolan, entertaining the kids or hamming it up with the sibs, it is always good to reunite. God bless in the New Year!

at Timothy Van Hortons before I had to leave. Truly a great family full of life - the early morning workouts, the natural foods, the rambunctious children, the long workdays etc... I would do it again in a heartbeat. Looking forward to the return visit in April!

despite the 5:30am announcement that he was awake, I guess the little grew on me

at the market - Dad would have been proud. The highlight? Jabin getting his weekly treat - not a brownie but a fruitshake... Every town needs a market

the hike again... note the kid strapped to me - truly a first:)

Friday night we made it out for an incredible meal and some dessert. Fish and Thai food was a pleasant alternative to oats and fruit:) Kidding aside, a great time downtown Fredericton.

What a great day for a hike... despite the wind and the awkward loads, we had a blast, and the scenery was terrific...

Hey - look at me! Have you seen my Hockey stick? Puck? Helmet? Net? Skates? Just like my old man, I never get sick of hockey...

After having read an excellent article, I thought I would promote it on my blog for all the educator's out there... The English Journal published an article entitled "Teaching for Critical Literacy: An Ongoing Necessity to Look Deeper and Beyond" written by Michael Michell. If you have access to the latest copy of the English Journal, check it out!
